subject: Do You Want To Lose Weight-do A Fitness Program [print this page]

Weight loss seems to be a big deal these days, but maybe fitness should be the big issue. Not everyone who wants to lose weight is interested in being fit, and there are a lot of people who do not need to lose weight, who are not interested in being fit either.

Being fit is a matter of choosing good health for the rest of your life. You should want a better life than most when you get older. How many people do you know who have aged before they should have, because they are paying for a partying early life? How many people do you know who work out at being fit so they can continue to party? That is not choosing to be fit so that you can live as healthy as you can.

Your body is designed to work as a well oiled machine that functions at a high level. But like any machine with more than one part, all parts must function properly for optimal efficiency. The parts of the body all fit together, and must work properly for the best health.

Fitness is an important part of life, and the sooner you decide to become fit, the better your health will be. Anything you do to harm any part of your body, will eventually catch up with you. You may be able to smoke and drink in your earlier years, but the day will come when you will pay for it.

Carrying too much weight on your body will eventually cause it to break down. Losing a few pounds is a good idea, but do it with a long term fitness program.

Think about all of the things you do today without even thinking. Getting dressed, brushing your teeth, waking up at the same time, having the same thing for breakfast, and more. Making a choice to be fit is no different than any other habit.

When you get up go for a walk or do some type of exercise, and then eat some healthy food for breakfast. There are all kinds of little things that you can do to improve your fitness.

Remember being young outside playing, how easy it was to be fit. Remember those days when you could run around all day and not get tired. It is too bad that people forget that feeling, and let themselves get out of shape. How many athletes when they are done playing, get way out of shape.

Even if you are not looking to lose weight, starting a fitness program will improve the quality of your life.
