subject: Justin Bieber Tickets - The Next Star Of Grease? [print this page] Pop star Justin Bieber has his eye on the role of Danny Zuko in Grease, a part that became popular thanks to John Travolta when he starred in the 1978 film. There has been talk about a remake of the hit movie and Bieber told The Sun, "It would be a lot of fun. It's been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny." Bieber wasted no time in picking out his ideal co-stars for the film as well, saying, "If I had to pick my perfect Sandy I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act."
The original film starred Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and Stockard Channing. Although there has been no definitive word about a new Grease, it could be a good bet that we'll be seeing the "Baby" hitmaker singing the words to "Grease Lightning." Bieber, apparently, has quite a few hopes and dreams for the future. The 16-year-old singer also recently expressed a desire to be a judge on the American version of the popular reality show The X Factor. According to ShowbizSpy, Bieber said that he'd love to get some guidance from music mogul Simon Cowell. He admitted though that perhaps "some people might not like getting advice from a guy my age." Speaking of collaborations, it is rumored that Bieber might be cutting a record with rapper Kanye West. Although there are few details so far, fans of both stars are getting excited for a Bieber-West mix.
Justin Bieber had just entered into his teenage years when he released his successful debut album My World. Before then, Bieber was gaining fans thanks to his popular collection of performances posted on YouTube. It didn't take too long, however, for the videos to capture the attention of R&B sensation Usher, who quickly signed the young Bieber to a recording contract.
Bieber's first single, "One Time," was released in May 2009 and immediately reached platinum status in both the U.S. and Canada. It was followed by his debut album called My World, which arrived on shelves later that same year. My World hit the number six spot on the Billboard 200 chart and in no time at all turned Bieber into a platinum-selling star.
Only a year after his official debut with My World, Bieber returned with My World 2.0. With tracks that included "Baby," "Somebody to Love" and Runaway Love," the record easily topped the Billboard 200 chart and seemingly solidified Bieber's star status in the music industry.
Currently Bieber is supporting his My World releases with an extensive tour and is also working on new material for a second album. Bieber is also scheduled to appear in the season premiere of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as well as a 3-D film about himself, due out in February 2011.
