subject: The Early Life Of Jennifer Higgins [print this page] This tale of Jennifer Higgins starts many years ago,so long ago ,that I can not remember the exact year. Samantha would play all day with the Stephen the boy who lived next door. Stephen would usually want to play with his train set,and found Jennifer a bit too feminine for his type of games. They did play games though, more often than not, it would be the games that Jennifer wanted to play.
They would meet up in the very palatial home of the Higgins family,usually in the playroom , but more often in the kitchen where the the fat cook Patricia slaved away all day cooking meals, and baking cakes. There were two points of interest in the kitchen one was licking out the bowls, and the other was the Farmhouse table. Not the table in the center of the room, but the smaller one against the wall opposite the kitchen sink.
This small pine farmhouse table was actually what the children liked best. They used to play lots of games with it or on it. Their favorite game was the 'Pirate Game'. This game was always played by turning the table upside and pretending that the table was a pirate ship. There was always cooking utensils that the two children would use,not for cooking with but for using as pirate swords.
The pirate games were always very noisy,the two children Stephen and Jennifer, would pretend that Pam the cook was another pirate from another ship, they would try to capture her. Sometimes they would tie her up with with a towel. Pam though, would always have some fruit juice ready for the children to drink, or a biscuit to nibble on. The noisiest part of the game was when the would hunt and fight imaginary beasts from the imaginary sea.
Not all stories have a happy ending though. There was always lurking in the water ,a very big and very hungry crocodile,this happened to be the fat cooks own son Peter. He was over weight ,could not move fast, but every so often would strike and catch Jennifer . Poor Jennifer. She would have to get used to it, for being captured by strange beings ,was something that would always happen to her.
