More Versatility Around the Green
Developed on tour, the rac Black TP has a tour-configured sole that is ground low on the trailing edge and at the toe and heel. When viewed from above, the trailing edge appears curved, resembling the letter C. This sole configuration allows players to open the clubface around the green to play high, soft chips and pitches. (Available on the 54.10, 56.12 and 58.08 lofts)
The leading edges of all the rac TP wedge models are radiused, enhancing the player's ability to hit low punch shots without digging. Personal review:
With most of TaylorMade's Tour staff using TP forged clubs, it's a safe bet that the RAC TP wedges arepretty good. We felt the heads were a bit harder than some, though we had no problems spinning golfballs.
The heads look a fraction bigger than others, without being cumbersome or putting you off, and being lighter than others you can attack the golf ball to get the action you require.
A nice, simply designed wedge that works well, but is probably more attractive to the TaylorMade fan looking for a wedge than to those looking for the best wedge that money can buy.
