subject: Popular Printers Are Necessarily The Best Ones [print this page]

I have seen plenty of tech enthusiasts who are crazy about computers, mobiles, notebooks, etc but there are not a lot of people who are enthusiastic about printers. They think printers are boring and hence ignore them totally. I started printershopper.net, a blog dedicated for printers. I cover all kinds of printers on this blog like inkjet and laser printers. Manufacturers send printers in my labs for testing and I feel quite honored about it. I make sure to make thorough test on the printer and then blog about the results. The reviews are written in simple language because if I get too technical, a lot of people wont understand the review. I have tested tons of printers in my labs and I am writing about some of the most popular ones in the market.

Lexmark E460dw did really well in the market but I didnt recommend it too highly in my reviews. The price of the printer was a bit high and the print quality too was mediocre. The print speeds too could have been better. Lexmark E460dw looks very boring; I wont recommend this even in offices. There are a few positives like built in wireless print server and auto-duplexing but they dont justify the expensive price tag. If you are still thinking about buying the printer, I would ask you think against it and go for the Samsung ML-2851ND instead.

Oki B2520 MFP is relatively cheap as compared to other printers in the market but the low price comes with a lot of compromises. The graphics print quality was well below my expectations and the Oki B2520 MFP is not network ready which makes it less than ideal for office use. I also had problems with the control panel, it was hard to decipher and far from user friendly. The LCD doesnt have backlighting so printing in low light conditions is not easy. I am not saying that the Oki B2520 MFP is totally useless though. There are a few positives like USB ports on the front which lets you print directly from a USB thumbdrive and option for mailbox. Scan quality too is good and inputting e-mail addresses is easy through the full QWERTY keyboard.

Canon Pixma iP4500 inkjet photo printer gives you good print quality. There is also an built in autoduplexer which prints on both the sides of the paper and you dont need to turn the paper for it. Presence of PictBridge port lets you print seamlessly through a camera. This printer is made for home users but I wont recommend it for home use if you are just going to take a few prints in a week. The cost of printer is relatively higher and this device at home users who print a lot. I was decided to see that the Canon Pixma iP4500 inkjet photo printer doesnt have any memory card slots especially for a high price tag like this. I would have also liked a LCD for previews of the prints that youd want to take
