subject: YOUR THOUGHT GARDEN [print this page] As more and more people begin to understand the power of their mind and how their thoughts manifest into reality, the greater the need to find ways to cultivate what they think about. The Law of Attraction clearly states what you think about you bring about. Yet, how can we control our thinking in such a manner that we will be able to clearly focus on attracting only what we want in life and steer clear of what we don't?
In order to help you with this concept, picture a garden. This garden has nothing planted in it yet: just rich, tilled soil ready for the seeds to be placed in the ground. Now imagine sectioning off your garden and placing markers in the dirt that are ready to be labeled. Consider this your Thought Garden.
Now begin to label the markers with the types of thoughts you plan to plant. You may have immediately divided your Thought Garden into sections that include Love, Health, and Prosperity. As you think about these, direct your mind to sectioning the land of your mind into more specific units that represent exactly what you want in that particular area of your life. Take this exact desire, picture it as clearly as you can in your mind, hold it for a moment and then imagine it as a seed. Envision yourself walking to that area of your Thought Garden and planting the thought into the fertile soil of your mind. Continue to take thoughts of your specific desires and plant them throughout the day. If you find that you had planted a vague thought and now have a clearer picture of what you want you need to do some fertilizing.
Let me give you an example. You may wish to drive a better car and plant that thought in the section you call material things within your Thought Garden. As you are driving, a beautiful red BMW pulls up next to you. You have no idea the type of BMW, but know that you would be very happy driving one. Now, picture fertilizing this thought by infusing it with a specific outcome based on your desire to move your thought from driving a better car to a red BMW. Each time this thought comes into mind, imaging yourself, tending your Thought Garden, working to grow this thought into reality. The more you think about it, and the clearer you become on the outcome, the faster this thought will manifest. By focusing your mind on thinking about driving a specific car you will be tending your Thought Garden more and more. The manner in which you direct your thoughts to a particular outcome is simply tending your Thought Garden. Some people find pictures, cut them out and create a vision board of their dreams. By looking at these images, you are reinforcing your desired impressions.
As you begin to explore the concept of having a Thought Garden, consider this statement: What you pay attention to grows. Imagine the more attention you send to each of your desired thoughts the stronger it will become. Picture it as a plant growing. Whether it is a tree, flower or shrub, see in your mind's eye a time lapsed version of it growing; becoming taller, sturdy and bountiful. As you move through your days and have new desires, continue planting them with the understanding that your garden has unlimited space and potential. There is absolutely enough room for you to have everything you desire in life. You will never run out of "land".
You will however need to control your thoughts. This is the same work a gardener does on a regular basis. As they carefully nourish their plants, they also take meticulous time removing weeds and any unwanted vegetation. Consider negative thoughts, ideas of lack and deficiencies the weeds in your Thought Garden. As quickly as they enter your mind, you need to remove them. Do not dwell on how they got there or their meaning. Simply get rid of them. Do not let them take root.
Stay away from outside influences that are negative. It is extremely important that you keep your Thought Garden away from any concept that is contrary to your desires. When you live in the world of your Garden, there are no limits and boundaries. This is your world to do with what you want. Only you can control the growth of your Garden. In order for you to reap the rewards you wish for you need to do whatever is in your power to control your thoughts.
