subject: Maximize Your Article Marketing With This Simple Tweak [print this page]

Whether you have been writing articles for awhile now or just getting started, there is a simple tweak that will maximize your article marketing.

The Title is Key

Ah, yes it is that easy! While I have written articles on keywords, resource boxes, and how to generate ideas, it is all a mute point if the title isn't enticing. Your title needs to be fun, original, crazy, and attention grabbing.

This is What You Do

Build the title that gives a person a reason to read the article, if you do not you will get lost. What do I mean "lost"? There are millions of people all over the world submitting articles. Some have one article, and some have thousands! You want to stand out in the crowd with your content.

One example of this is I had been on another site a few days ago that the sole purpose of this site is article marketing. On this site I found my article but at the bottom there were maybe 20 other authors on there. After looking at these other authors work and titles, I realized they were somewhat close to mine. I could see how all those articles started blending together.

Look at it from a reader's point of view; if you see 20 authors and they all have an article on the same topic how do you choose what to read? The title is what grabs your attention; article marketing is so dependent on people reading your article.

The Proof is in the Title

While I was on a site a few days ago I decided to just start investigation. I wanted to know what titles were actually grabbing my attention and what the article provided me as a reader. There were articles that I practically ran from. They were just so mundane, blah, and/or sounded like a bunch of jibber jabber. I felt bad because I know as an article writer myself, how much time is invested. Many of us spend hours researching, writing, and tweaking our article to present great content. Unfortunately, some authors just want to be done and put a dud title on it and ship it out.

A Thought to Ponder

When you are in article marketing and you want a very intriguing title you have got to build curiosity. When you trigger someone's curiosity their natural instinct is to learn more. Let me show you a quick example. Let's say you were writing articles about natural medical healing options like aloe. Which of these are more compelling?

Aloe sooths burns

How to reduce burn pain with a natural low cost plant

If you guessed the second one, you are correct! You are offering a low cost solution and a how to. People love how to's, the want to know that it can be done and that you have done it. They become curious on how to reduce burn pain and also what the low cost plant is.

What about my title?

Maximize- The first word in my title is maximize which everyone knows it means

To increase to a maximum

To make the most of

To find a maximum value of

Article Marketing- People read articles to obtain more information, many people write articles so this is relevant to them

Simple- Oh, I like simple and so does everyone else, they have too many difficulties already

Tweak- This is a word that actually is simple but powerful. It's definition as we know it

To make small adjustments

So as you can see four powerful words or descriptions around a relevant topic can maximize your results.
