(NASDAQ: CERP) Signs with Sezersan [print this page] Cereplast, Inc., a company onthe forefront of manufacturing bio-based, compostable, and sustainable plastics has announced today that it will be partnering with Sezersan Ambalaj (Sezersan), which is a subsidiary of Ac Group situated in Turkey, in order to produce bio twist films made from Cereplast Compostables resins. This product would be the first of its kind, and it will be used in order to make wrap packaging for various food products that would be sold all over Europe.
This product would be made using the Cereplast Compostables 7003 bio resin, which is specifically designed to provide high strength, toughness and process ability to its products. It is also thinner than other similar product, heat sealable and has great form memory capability. According to the terms of this multi-million dollar contract, Cereplast will be shipping 100 to 150 metric tons of bio resin every month starting from December 2010.
