subject: Using Security Cameras At Subways [print this page]

As we all can see that the term Security Solution is popping into our ears a lot lately Everyone is concerned about their safety and that of their properties as well... Big cities such as London, Manhattan, NYC, Los Angeles and a lot more are installing security cameras in almost all public places such as; malls, airports, restaurants, schools, libraries, companies, hotels, pharmacies, colleges, subwaysetc all that because security is becoming a major issue nowadays, and everyone wants to feel safe when they go shopping or travelling or .. Where ever.

Lets talk about subways for a while, About 1,000 subway security cameras will be set up by the end of next year to help catch New York subway criminals and there are now nearly 4000 subway security cameras in operation, also another thousand will be set up by the end of next year to help solve subway crimes. A huge amount of money was paid to install security cameras at subways, but vandalizing is reducing the benefits and uses of these cameras.; security camera ! A big amount of money is spent , annually, on the rush repair jobs to fix subway, however; in the same time, security cameras would make people feel safer, and would prevent many criminal from committing crimes. Installing security cameras works as a crime deterrent although there is no tangible proof that supports this. These cameras would work as a good proactive tool for crimes especially if the used security system is IP system due to the real time monitoring feature, which gives the simultaneous ability to monitor and see the offender while he is committing the crime, which makes it much easier to catch him. And now more than 31 stations around the city are being watched and that covers a huge area . Now police department would have the ability to monitor these security cameras and catch any criminal.

There are two major types of security cameras; the traditional CCTV and IP security cameras. IP cameras are spreading fast these days due to their fantastic and remarkable advantages; IP security cameras has a much higher resolution than the traditional CCTV which makes facial recognition so easy, the real time event monitoring is another cool feature of IP systems and the remote access feature is the greatest because you can access and monitor the security cameras from any place in the world; just an internet connection and thats it, you can see everything. But CCTV can do a good job also with less money paid.

Subways are very dangerous, and getting into them means to count the minutes patiently until arriving to the next station safe and sound. Therefore, having installed a security camera system in these trains and subways would comfort passengers or travelers, whether they are heading to work or university, to school or hospital, or even to the police station. Despite the several encroachment and repeated violations and assaults, criminal or perpetrator take into their consideration that they might be caught and penalized if they violate peoples safety or if they even try to think to harm any one or any property. As a result, having such security and surveillance systems installed in public transportation, in subways, in streets, in malls, and in every place a human being would step on would guarantee less criminal acts and more penalizing laws for overrides and offenders.

We all are seeking to live in a safe city, a city with no crimes, a city which you will not worry if your child went to school by himself. Security cameras might have the solution for all peoples security worries . Whether the installed cameras were traditional CCTV or IP cameras, the objective would be fulfilled in a way or another.
