The Formula One season really is hotting up, with the World Championship well and truly in the sights of several drivers, not least British pair Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button.

Next on the calendar is Singapore which is not only a fine city for sports but also for luxury hotels. Why not pay a visit and grab yourself some tickets for the Formula One?

One of my mates has actually just returned from Italy where he's been to the Grand Prix at Monza. It's alright for some isn't it?

Anyway, the next date for the diaries is the intriguing Singapore Grand Prix to be held on Sunday 25th September and after Fernando Alonso's win last weekend (and Hamilton's unfortunate crash out), Lewis and Jensen will be desperate to give themselves the absolute best starting grid positions by driving like the wind during qualifying on the Saturday. Come on boys pull your fingers out!

For those who can cast their minds back a year, you'll remember Lewis Hamilton won the Singapore Grand Prix last time around, and he'll be absolutely chomping at the bit to ensure he repeats that trick this year. Easier said than done though with the way Red Bull and Ferrari are challenging...

The Singapore Grand Prix is a pretty unique event in the racing calendar, not least because it is held at night. The added glamour of being under cover of night makes for a hugely appealing spectacle in this exhilarating destination. And the food's not bad either.

Tickets are still available for the Grand Prix by going via the official channels, so once you've got those sorted out why not look into the options staying in Singapore - you might have more luck in Sentosa Island or perhaps in Bintan should you find hotels are already full.
