subject: Digital Devices Fatigue Our Brain? [print this page]

Digital devices are pervasive todayDigital devices are pervasive today. Cell phones have evolved being full-fledged, portable mini computers which offer us an easy access to internet no matter where we are. In the office, we need to face desktop or laptop the whole day to handle our work. On our way home or to work, we like to take advantage of MP3 or MP4 to kill time

The advanced technology allows us to entertain ourselves, deal with unfinished tasks and kill time through the tiniest windows and the most convenient access. Our brains are filled with digital input nearly everyday and seem never getting tired. But the fact is not. Digital devices fatigue our brain. Do you still remember the last time you rest your brain without any digital devices? We might have no idea about what to do once we are without these electronic gadgets.

Scientists point out that human brain downtime could help us better learn and accept knowledge, remember things or have creative ideas. But most of us think on the contrary - our opinion is that these digital devices offer us multiple methods to refresh ourselves, relax, entertain and do multitasking. Therefore, we take every second of our time to be with these electronics devices, like exercise, queue for drawing money, wait for our friends, etc. We are depriving our brain downtime every day.

Many of us have got used to being with these electronics gadgets. We will feel terribly uncomfortable if without mobile phones. We might have no way to handle our office work if with no computers. We probably sit and think too much on our way home or to workUsing digital devices have become a demand, a demand of our head. It seems that human is powerless to resist.

However, in order to protect our health, we need to let our brain have a rest as often as we could - Taxing our brain too much will break our health down, no matter psychical or physical. Digital devices are really cheap today, especially devices from wholesale electronics stores. But no matter what their prices are, they are not an equal trade-off for our health.
