Everyone's getting all touchy-feely these days, if concept phones like the Onyx from Synaptics and Nokia's very own Aeon ever make it into the mass consumer market. The Aeon NOKIA will feature a full touchscreen surface that does away with the standard keypad, giving you an extremely sleek and sexy look that is guaranteed to turn heads each time you answer a call. The entire front surface of the phone, with the exception of the "Nokia" stripe across the center, is an ever-changing touchscreen display, bringing up the digits, MP3 player controls, or amazing full-color graphics depending on your needs. Naturally, the slim and light Aeon still just a concept, so we have no idea when (and if) this will go into production and at what price. Nokia Aeon combines two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. One thing's for sure though unless Nokia knows how to perfect a material that does not attract fingerprints like ants to sugar, you'll probably spend half your time wiping the Aeon. In case you're wondering what happened to Nokia's concept all-touch phone, it's been recently spotted in China. Aeon to be a thin-client, farming out processing and storage. The complete phone is virtual and the panels can be used for voice calls/ sending messages and enjoying the musical experiance from any panels. It can also merge itself into other local products using the inbuilt sensors with the complete design similar to synaptics onyx and BenQ-Siemens's Black box, replaces the complete tradional keypad. Mini N97 and N900 Nokia are thicker, but they have other advantage. You can have a look at them. It's not quite the Aeon we're familiar with and instead of having a full touchscreen up front with a sash separating the display and the virtual keys, the Chinese version a 2.2-inch non-touch TFT screen and a backlit numeric keypad that is almost visible when it's not being operated, though that is due mainly to the shiny coating. This phone has a nifty WWW-belt-like 1.3 MP camera on back, Bluetooth and 3D speakers. Nokia typically isn't well known for phones with touch panels, but this hot-looking Aeon concept is simply stunning, complete with a dynamic display which replaces the traditional keypad and screen. Each of the panels are capable of being used independently. The touch screen displays all buttons that are virtual, so in one situation one panel could operate as the display, the other as the keypad. Nokia also establishes a new wireless standard with wibree, basically an upgraded bluetooth which would allow the user to connect to various wireless devices.
