subject: The 2010 Acura Tsx Is Now Available With A V6 Engine [print this page]

Acura's TSX is a beautiful sports coupe that is finally available in 2010 with a more powerful V6 engine. On the exterior, the flared fenders and xenon headlights bolster the vehicle's athletic and daring look. This vehicle comes in two trims; the TSX base model and the TSX V6. The base model comes with 17" alloy wheels while the 6 cylinder model sports bigger 18" wheels. The TSX is a compact vehicle that is a joy to drive and offers lots of luxurious amenities and value for its price.

You have two choices when it comes to the TSX's engine; a V4 and V6. This is the first time that the TSX will be available with a six cylinder engine. The V4 engine is a 2.4 Ltr with 201 HP while the V6 puts out 280 hp and 254 lb feet of torque. The V4 engine gets 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the freeway while the V6 receives 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the freeway. Acceleration is quite brisk, as the car goes from 0-60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds.

Metallic accents are used throughout the cabin which contributes to its luxurious look. Standard options on every model include a system to control the temperature, perforated seats crafted out of rich leather, heated front seats plus a 7-speaker surround system with 360 watts of sound and a USB audio interface for compatibility with your favorite music players. The driver's seat offers solid lumbar support and 8-way power adjustments. All models come with a power moon roof, a system to deter theft and mirrors which can be heated.

If you would like, you can opt for the Technology Package at an additional cost, which comes with a 415 watt surround system with a disc changer, a rearview camera, the voice activated navigation system which can be controlled via voice commands and provides real time traffic and weather updates along with restaurant reviews and a climate control system that is GPS linked which maintains the temperature according to the sun's position.

The inclusion of numerous safety advances makes for a very safe vehicle. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering structure works to distribute crash force more evenly in case of an accident. The Electronic Brake Distribution corrects the force on the brakes as required while the Anti Lock Braking System aids to help avoid the wheels from locking. An air bag system is in place which utilizes the Occupant Position Detection System in order to halt the bags from being activated if a child is seated. Seatbelts automatically tension during impact and active head restraints have been installed.

The TSX is a solid sporty vehicle with lots of nice extras for the price. The starting price is around $29k which is a competitive price for a vehicle offering sweet features such as heated seats, heated mirrors and a premium sound system.
