To have a sense of belonging, to enjoy the prestige of belonging to a sorority and to use the advanced opportunities offered for sororities in terms of studies and future career promotion, millions of women around the world go through the recruitment process in sororities represented in the colleges where they study. There are a number of myths and scary stories about the recruitment process, but the reality is surely much more promising. Some tips for joining a sorority, the ways to address the failure and reasons for being rejected are the subject of the present article.

Becoming a Part of Sorority Impossible or Complicated?

1. It goes without saying that the rush week in a college, which is the time for applying to a sorority, is the most responsible and complicated period of time for the majority of female college students. The process involves attending parties, interviews, showing the best of oneself to be chosen. Everybody knows that belonging to a top list sorority gives prestige and reputation, many new friends and connections, so being accepted is a dream of many women. More than that, belonging to a prestigious and serious sorority in college may help the woman build her career in future, as sorority belonging is included in the CV.

2. No matter what the woman feels, she has to be well-prepared to the sorority recruitment process; she has to communicate her strengths and weaknesses, plans and objectives clearly for the sorority sisters to understand whether she fits in their sorority or not. The candidate has to be personally ready, which means good grades and good reputation, specific activities in which she engages and plans to engage; all these elements substantially raise the chance for being invited.

3. No matter how sad it is, but some women are not accepted in sororities; if this happens, they have to take a closer look at their grades, reputation and image.
