The battle actually began after the conflict with the Mexican army, which took place in 1835. The battle lasted for five days. Ben Milam and his volunteers fought the Mexicans and won. General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna arrived with his bigger army a year after that. The fight with the volunteers lasted for thirteen days. With the help of William B.
