Likewise, grown ups love Bayfront Park too.

SARASOTA'S FASCINATING BAYFRONT PARK

Just steps from beautiful, tree-lined downtown Sarasota, you can take a stroll around the park, marveling at Sarasota Bay & boats of all sizes coming & going.

Indeed, you will marvel at the dolphin water fountain from a swing, while overlooking the bay. Or you can relax while watching the kids roll in the grass, play Frisbee or tag.

You can enjoy the music and aroma (of fine food) drifting from Marina Jack's beautiful bay-front restaurant. If you want a more relaxed outdoor setting under tiki huts, check out O'Leary's. Kick back at O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill for pleasant outdoor entertainment.

The boats drifting around O'Leary's & Marina Jack's can take your breath away. With direct access to the Gulf and a deep water harbor, some of the biggest yachts make Sarasota's Island Park their home. Water on three sides of the park, you will love strolling around the park's perimeter, enjoying the boats of all sizes drifting in and out of the bay: party boats, sailboats, yachts...in and out of the bay.

At Sarasota Bayfront Park very affordable rentals and charters are available as well. How would you like to take a tropical sunset cruise? Choose between sightseeing cruises, deep sea fishing, sailing with the breeze, or popping around on a waverunner. You can rent boats and explore the waters around Lido and Longboat Keys using powerboats, bow riders, and pontoon boats. For the fishing fans, you can rent the gear to reel in some red fish, grouper, or mahi mahi which make the waters off Sarasota their home. These aquatic adventures can make some lasting memories.

Of course, kids love Bayfront Park for the fountains & playground. Just follow the laughs to get to the fountains. As the kids climb, run & splash around, grown-ups kick back under sprawling banyan trees.

After playing & splashing, it is picnic time with park tables conveniently located to fountains and play equipment. You'll love the shade.

This is free recreation and entertainment. You supply the time, and Bayfront Park will provide the recreation, relaxation & wonder.

Best of all, in January to March visitors and locals alike enjoy Bayfront Park as the rest of the country huddles up indoors near the fire as blinding blizzards bellow outdoors. No doubt, Island Park is Sarasota's most visited park.

Once you've checked out Bayfront Park - and the kids have given the play equipment a work out and cooled off at the Fountains, take them north a bit to see the larger-than-life Unconditional Surrender, Sarasota's artistic tribute to WWII heroes.

Cross the street to Downtown Sarasota and great restaurants...just a few steps away from Bayfront Park. Just around the corner & Ringling Causeway is luxurious St. Armands Circle. Enjoy the upscale shops, boutiques, restaurants & cafes offering a unique shopping & dining experience.

Sarasota attractions and lifestyle feature Bayfront Park -- it's your chance to relax, create memories & enjoy. What is your experience with, comments or questions about Sarasota and/or Bayfront Park? What do you like best about the park?
