subject: American Travelers Grow Accustomed to Wireless Internet Wherever They Go [print this page]

As travel has become more and more mainstream, Americans all over the country have become accustomed to long journeys. In the past, people often found themselves growing bored during long road trips, but thanks to wireless internet that happens less and less. These days, you don't have to sit in a car and play the license plate game all day. In fact, many people are choosing to travel by bus or train instead because it can be both more entertaining and more affordable than traveling by car or airplane. Of course train and bus travel are also perfect for people who fear flying!

Many people have started taking buses all across the country. In the past, buses often had a bad reputation as people felt that companies like Greyhound weren't very reliable and weren't very comfortable to travel with. More recently though, newer companies like Boltbus and Megabus have added more competition to the mix, which has caused every company to have to enhance the services they offer. Some companies have attempted to increase legroom, but most surprisingly and more importantly, many bus companies have begun to offer their customers wireless internet access. Some bus companies also offer power outlets on board as well. The best thing about all of this is that there are an endless number of things people can do online, so people never have to get bored even if they're sitting on a bus all day. Plenty of passengers use the internet access to entertain themselves, but other passengers even use it to keep working while they are traveling.

Not to be left behind by the competition, passenger train services, such as Amtrak, have also installed wireless internet services on their trains. Unfortunately, train service costs a bit more for passengers, but it's also usually considered much more comfortable. So you're more likely to see many passengers working on trains, and you can even upgrade to "business" class, where there are always plenty of dedicated employees working away on their laptops. All of this new technology that makes passengers enjoy their travel more has even caused several airlines to start installing wireless internet services on their airplanes as well! Pretty soon, there won't be any form of travel that leaves passengers without internet access.

As a result of all of this increased internet access, people have become accustomed to always being connected no matter where they are. People are finding that when they return home from a trip, they feel the need to have fast internet access just like they're used to having while they're out on the road. Thankfully, wireless 4G internet networks have been rolled out all across the country over the past year. This new service provides users with the fastest wireless capabilities that have ever been available, and these internet connections are as much as four times faster than any other connections. With this kind of service, Americans everywhere can continue to have speedy internet access within their own communities once they've returned home.
