We are use to learning how to get healthier through diet and exercise. But learning the main factors in becoming unhealthy should also be addressed by everyone. Understanding the top 10ways to become unhealthy will hopefully allow everyone to look at their current state with a different lens. The Top 10 Ways to become unhealthy are as follows;

1.Stress - stress is a word with many different meanings. Stress can be classified in 3 areas, mental/emotional, physical, and internal. Allowing stress to build over time without reducing it will only lead to a weakened person.

2.Poor Nutrition/Diet - our diet and nutritional habits can revive your health or just as easily take away from your health. Heavily processed foods, fast food, soda, and the like all take away from your health.

3.A Weakened Immunity - if you can't fight off colds and other infections it has a rippling impact throughout your entire body.

4.Impaired Digestion - Your digestion and "gut" health is the pillar of your health. Strong and functioning is the target, malfunctioning and impaired is a gateway to serious health problems.

5.Poor Detoxification - According to Randall Fitzgerald author ofThe Hundred Year Liethose who can detoxify daily toxins, pesticides, and the like are the ones who will live the longest. Those who can't or have an inability to remove toxins from their body are those who will suffer from disease.

6.Hormonal Imbalance - Your hormones directly and indirectly influence your entire body. If they are out of balance or homeostasis your entire body will be suffer.

7. Lack of Exercise- We are meant to move and not stay stagnant. Exercise sends signals to our genes to turn off harmful ones and turn on repairing and positive genes. Not exercising is a very common problem but is so important to every one's health.

8. Lack of Sleep- not sleeping = not repairing your body. Sleep is absolutely important for everyone to repair and rebuild their body.

9. Lack of Understanding- Not knowing what to do, where to go, and how to get help is debilitating for many. Putting your health fully into the hands of another opens up possibilities for miss understanding and mistakes. Educate yourself as much as possible in your health and lifestyle so you empower change.

10. Giving Up Before You Start- This applies to all aspects of life. Is something is hard and is a must for your health, family, faith, etc we have two options. Give up and stop before we start or push through and try to accomplish what is needed.

Rate yourself 0-5 on each one. Zero being the least, for example you would give yourself a zero is you exercise routinely for number 7. You would give yourself a 5 if you have poor eating habits for number 2. Do that for each number. The higher the total number is the higher your chances are of shifting into a dis-ease state which is something you want and need to avoid.
