subject: A Changing Trend In Consumers Tastes For Integrated Stand Alone Fridge Freezers [print this page]

Many kitchens up and down the land have integrated fridge freezers. Many years ago (up to 1970s) the fully fitted kitchen was the preserve of the wealthy but in the 1970s a boom happened in the kitchen industry, many companies emerged to provide reasonable (or rubbish in some cases compare with todays standards) quality but affordable fully fitted kitchens.

Such names (which are now consigned to the history books) as MFI used cheap materials and cheap labour as well as modern changes in materials (mainly the use of moulded plastics and plastic veneers) to create reasonably ok looking fully fitted kitchens.

As part of that changing trend, manufacturers of cheap fridge freezers and other inexpensive home appliances started producing a wide range of products that were fully integrated into the kitchen units.

We, times seem to be changing! Fully fitted kitchens are still by far the most popular choice of most home owners, and as such nearly all manufacturers of home appliances have an integrated range however there is a very discernable trend back to pre 1970s days where home owners want to have certain items as a standalone fashion statement.

The main items are Fridges and Fridge Freezers, they large American Fridge has been around for a while but now you can get cheap fridge freezers in a range of vibrant colours, which have been design to make a statement as much as provide a service.

The Fridge, and the Fridge Freezers is set to become the new kitchen icon of wealth as if your kitchen is big enough to have a standalone unit, outside the fitted kitchen then you are likely to have a reasonably sized kitchen to start with.
