subject: Andrew Reynolds and the Power of Positive People [print this page]

At Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp he explained how important it is for an entrepreneur to always be surrounded with positive people.

As he said some people waste their time whining instead of doing something positive towards changing their life - he calls them the 'negative whiners'.

I was lucky, because at this Bootcamp, the first one I had ever attended, the people seated next to me were enthusiastic and inspiring. In fact it was an enthralling experience listening to Andrew Reynolds, who is a dynamo of energy, talking about all the business lessons he'd learned from his dad.

Apparently his dad owned a DIY shop in Winchester. Although Andrew's dad couldn't hammer a nail in straight, customers used to come in and ask for his advice on all sorts of DIY jobs. What Andrew Reynolds learned from that is not to put yourself in the position of giving expert advice.

Talking from the stage at the Bootcamp he explained that for the business model he was going to show us during the weekend we didn't need to be the expert. That was because we were going to be publishing information provided by experts.

As Andrew Reynolds said to us, the guy that runs Penguin Publishing doesn't know how to do all the things that are in all the Penguin Books, but he still makes a lot of money from selling books.

I was excited by the whole thing when Andrew was explaining to us the profit margins that are normal for what we were being shown during the weekend. Instead of selling something for 99p that you bought in for 66p, like his dad did, it was buy something for a 1 and sell it for 150.

As the weekend progressed I realized that anybody could start to make money with this from a small outlay. In fact, it couldn't be more different to Andrew Reynolds dad's DIY shop, which is how the idea for this unique business model first came to Andrew.

I came away from Andrew Reynolds Bootcamp with the knowledge of how to get started and how to build an income without sweat and tears.

I wish I'd heard about Andrew Reynolds and his Bootcamps two years ago when I was made redundant, I believe I would already be a multi-millionaire if I had know then what I now know.
