The stand out feature is the excellent video capture facility, which records footage in 720P high definition quality at a rate of 24 frames per second. Acer have added a mini HDMI socket to the phone, meaning that viewing your recordings on a home HD ready television is easy, they even include an adapter in the box so no other purchases are necessary. The handset also features a 5 mega pixel still camera. Autofocus helps you capture the perfect shot every time, whilst a useful image stabiliser helps reduce camera shake when taking a photograph. The audio facilities are also impressive. A wide range of formats are supported which include WAV, MP3 and eAAC+. A 3.5mm headphone jack is always welcome and the Stream does not disappoint here, a micro USB is also present making synchronisation with a home pc very straightforward.
The Acer Stream is every bit the perfect smartphone. The technically minded will appreciate the excellent processor and platform, whereas fans of media facilities will find plenty to keep them occupied.
