subject: Training Modifications For Aas Users [print this page]

When it comes to bodybuilding, you're always either getting better, or you're getting worse. There is no "holding the course". You may find some level of comfort where the changes are very minimal. In that case, you're just barely making gains, and barely losing them, for a number of months or years. This certainly can't be your plan. After all, we lift weights with the dream of becoming large and muscular, not staying about the same size. However, it is a lack of shocks to the body which prevent it from being stimulated to the point where growth can occur. A shock - or a level of stimuli or other factors it has never seen - is absolutely required.

Anabolic steroids are often the shock that users need to bump up their gains. They may have seen the same results for five years. But then they run a cycle of Testosterone Enanthate with Nandrolone for 10 weeks, and suddenly they see more growth than they did for the entire five years before. Anabolics open up an immediate growth 'bump', but they do something else as well. Anabolic steroids allow you to get more out of the other two major inputs - training and diet - so that you can see greater gains. Let's learn how.

When it comes to diet, you have probably been eating the same number of calories and protein grams for the past few years. Your body can't do much with any protein grams exceeding 300 or 350 total, as a natural. However, as a steroid user, your body can suddenly enjoy the benefits of increased protein synthesis. Suddenly you'll be able to consume 500 protein grams per day, and it will be turning into muscle, not fat!

Training is the area most affected by the addition lf AAS into the equation. Suddenly you will be able to train longer, harder, and see better results.

Your intensity will skyrocket, first. You'll be more energetic, excited, and generally more aggressive when it comes to tackling the weights. Your strength will also jump, which means you can flirt with one-rep maximum lifts (1RM) much more often. Your training weights will increase progressively faster than they ever have, which will lead to better numbers, and new muscle gains as well. You'll also need less recovery time, despite facing this new workload. Imagine being able to lift more, more often, and getting less sore. You'll wonder how you ever trained without steroids, once you get through your first cycle. Training is clearly the area where the most gains will be made, and the most potential for improvement exists.

Avoiding overtraining, despite the wealth of tools that AAS provide, should be or a major concern to you. AAS goes a long way, but food and sleep are also essential factors in the recovery process. If you've never been a good sleeper, the time period during your first cycle if an ideal time to literally force yourself to lie down for a solid 8 hours each night, as well as a nap each day.
