Mimeure is a French commune, located in the department of Cat Or Burgundy.

The territory of the commune Mimeure has defined limits for many years. In the North, common Clomot (up De L'eau de Beaune) and the Feast; to ballast the common Foissy Musigny and define its borders to the west of the town Jouey, and finally, south, the town Darnay-le-Duc.

Moreover, the land of this county are pretty rugged. At Northeast, we encounter the vast plateau of Thoreille occupying any part of the territory situated between the hamlet and communal territories of Thoreille Musigny. From this plateau stand in the north-east to south-eastern hills of wood Well, the Warren or Tronnois, Contaut hills of the Oak Solonge or coward and Buissenaye. Thus, these nipples are located or as between several valleys. North end of West territory includes the eastern side of the slope of the plateau or Grandees Treney, located on the communal territory of Jouey.

Dun Geologically, the basement of the upper plate Thoreille and all the hills sen off is formed by Lias limestones (limestones and gryphies coquinas). In the hillsides, we meet the marl and sandstone linfra-Lias and several layers dargile suitable for the manufacture of the tile. The valleys contain marls, sandstones, and Triassic granite. It nexist that low iridescent marls that territory, but the Triassic sandstones in several places reach a considerable thickness. There are very good for building. Notably, bridges Darnay-le-Duc in 1778 were built with sandstone from Mimeure and Saint-Prix. Mimeure has a fairly good soil for growing grain. Meadows are of good quality.

Mimeure territory is included in the basin Larroux. The north-east is crossed by the river that comes from Letang Solonge of the Day; it flows from north to southwest. This river fed Letang De L'eau de Beaune, the locks and bolt Solonge which served reach to the mills of the same name. The river receives Solonge right Clomot River and Promenois; left, the little stream from the Grand Court, Pralots, as the Boland, of Flaceliere from pre Chaponnot and Fountain Croule Ass. A plea of the river and stream Clomot Promenois, all these small streams have their source in the territory of Mimeure.

In the watershed Larroux itself, we encounter the stream Mimeure which originated at the fountain of Pierraillouse the territory of Musigny, which pours its waters into Larroux to Arnay-le-Duc, in passing through the village of Mimeure. The Thoreille Creek, between Warren and wood Well, pours its waters in Letang Fouchey. Finally the stream Ravery, formed by the union of two small water courses which originates Mon Fountain Ravery to Thoreille and the second a fountain located on the west bank of the community forests of Thoreille, pours its waters into Latang Barrot.

The hamlet of Solonge (Salonga in 1396) depended formerly of the Lordship of Musigny. It is less important than Thoreille. This village is siru northwest of Mimeure on the left side of the valley Sollonge. Formerly, it was a village "badly built but clean enough." The district said the Pralots is located 500 m. south of the main village and this area extends to the mill, said mill Solonge, we talk a little hamlet loin.Le Thoreille (Toraille in 1213) is located east of Mimeure top and the right side of the small valley called the lake of cat, which pours its waters into the lake on the territory of Barrot Arnay-le-Duc. "Thoreille village is quite large but it is poorly built, its streets were dirty," says a document of the past. This is sometimes true even today.

On the origin of this name or Thoreille Thorey whose root is common in Burgundy, people learned the locations of many attribute to the Germanic Barbarians (Burgundians) from the other side of the Rhine. One of their gods was Tor or Thor, god of war, son of Odin, etc. ... (See The Burgundians settlements between the Seine and the Rhone).

Up to the late nineteenth century - and from time immemorial honeymooners Darnay-le-Duc and the surrounding villages to visit loved wood bolt near any water fountain in a beautiful place and near Paquier or a communal pastures. Its the fountain Croule Ass. The newlyweds, parents or friends would drink its water, collate, cross the fountain dun jump and dance on the neighbor Paquier Hence his name, they say. Quite difficult to find, this fountain is located in North West to a chapel that is visible throughout the region: the chapel Contaut. Then go down the path to the northwest of the farm to find the remains of the fountain.
