subject: Get Your Message Out With Voice Broadcasting [print this page]

Today one of the biggest challenges for small to medium size businesses is getting their message out. Unfortunately today budgets are tighter than ever, and that means that small and mediums sized companies have less of an advertising budget than ever, and that can make it difficult to secure new customers and increase your sales. However, it does not have to be an impossible situation. In fact, if you take advantage of voice broadcasting you may be able to increase your customer base which will lead to more sales and larger profit margins.

What is voice broadcasting? Basically it is a phone dialing service that sends announcements from your company to your companies phone list. This phone list may be made up of a customers, prospective customers, and community partners. Because you are supplying the phone list based on your contacts you will not have to worry about running into issues with individuals who have been placed on the national "do not call" registry. Additionally, voice broadcasting typically consists of two different messages. One that is designed for answering machines and voicemail as well as one that has been recorded for calls that are answered by a live person.

Perhaps the best thing about voice broadcasting is that you have the capability to either reach one person or more than a thousand people with one type of communication. This can be especially useful if you are trying to get the word out about a special event, upcoming sale, appointment reminder, or even an emergency message.

There are many different systems out there designed to help you with your voice broadcasting. In fact these systems have the capability to switch the recorded message based on who answers the phone (a real person or a voicemail). Additionally, many of these systems allow the recipient of the call to hit their touchtone phone to manipulate the message. In fact, the most popular aspect of these systems is that the call recipient can often be transferred directly to another extension so that they can speak to a company employee.

No matter what the system you choose is you must remember that the most important part of voice broadcasting is the actual message that you are going to be broadcasting. You must be sure that you take some time to construct the text of the message so that it gets your point across. Your script is the only thing that your customers are going to hear so you want to be sure that you are very specific with your word choices. Be sure that you take your time with this process and listen to your script as it is spoken because that is how your customers are going to receive it.
