subject: Workshop on Laboratory in Entrepreneurial Motivation (LEM) [print this page] Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has organized a workshop on "Laboratory in Entrepreneurial Motivation" (LEM) on 9th and 10th of September, 2010. The event was attended by Prof. Sunil Handa, who has participated to guide students on developing entrepreneur skills. He stressed on achieving goals rather than loosing confidence over acerbic remarks during entrepreneurial venture. He even advised to take inspiration from Shiva linga'.
Director of IIMK, Debashis Chatterjee asked students suggestions over new courses on Entrepreneurship, as he is planning to re-evaluate the curriculum, as per the need of student interest. On this take, Prof. Handa suggested one to one sessions, industry visits and meeting with top management of the corresponding industries. Hesaid that, "If at least twenty students out of the batch of first year students could turn up into successful entrepreneurs then the whole purpose of this workshop would be fulfilled."
He also had some appealing business plans, during workshop from students to which he responded enthusiastically. He showed interest in helping them out under his supervision. "It is a fantastic idea. I always wanted one of my students to have a dairy with 10,000 cows and buffaloes. If you plan to implement the idea, contact me, I'll help you with the whole thing. We'll also start a milk processing factory, use cow dung to produce bio-gas and will make organic compost of the final waste," said Prof. Sunil Handa, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad.
Undoubtedly, his Workshop in Laboratory in Entrepreneurial Motivation' has become immensely popular over the years.
