One solution then is to use a combination of both a bag and a key chain and this way you can fasten the keys to the inside of your bag so that if someone does find them they won't be able to remove them. Another solution is to keep the keys inside a pocket within the bag. This way it's harder to find the key within the bag, and will take longer. A pocket on the outside of the bag will also work if this pocket is kept on the inside side of the bag so that it's pressed against your body. This way no one will be able to reach inside your bag without brushing against your body at the same time.
Once you've decided on where you're going to keep your keys you need to make sure you keep them there and don't be tempted to leave them un attached in your pocket. If your keys should go missing while you're out then you should ensure you call a locksmith as soon as you get back.
