Is Laser Hair Removal A Scam?
In a perfect world, I would only have hair on the top of my head, eyebrows and eyelashes. I hate body hair. I hate shaving, plucking and waxing. I hate the annoying, constant upkeep and maintenance of shaving, plucking and waxing.
When I was 12 years old, I started shaving. This was mainly because during the summertime, lots of girls my age at school were also shaving and then wearing short shorts or skirts. I have black hair, and olive skin, so if I went out of the house without shaving, my black leg hairs would be very noticeable and then Id get ridiculed.
Really, if I could go back in time, Id just wear long pants during the summertime and never ever shave at all. Because now, at the age of 30, my body hair is THICKER, and more annoying. Im constantly getting ingrown hairs in my armpits--and thats not fun or sexy at all. Because of this, my armpits have gotten darker and darker because of excessive digging of ingrown hairs. Gross, I know. Tell me about it.
To this day, Im embarrassed and too self-conscious to wear tank tops and tube tops. Im even overly sensitive to raising my hands.
Anyway, because of this, for the past few years Ive quit shaving all together and just resorted to plucking my underarm hairs. I KNOW! Its ridiculous, but its the only thing I could think of at the time that gave me the least amount of annoying maintenance. Really, this body hair problem has became the bane of my existence.
