There are many different kinds of stacking chairs. While no one style is intended for any specific kind of function, each are often more suitable for only one or two. For instance, houses of worship or funeral service providers might use a particular style. A church chair for a funeral service, for example, should be very comfortable. This makes sense since comfort is indeed something that you want to have during the often melancholy mood that surrounds such events. Church chairs also often have accessories, like "kneelers," that accommodate the particular needs of religious services.

Some stacking chairs have armrests, which are perfect for longer services. Smaller organizations might, in fact, employ the use of several of these luxurious seating options because they can afford to outfit more of their congregation since it is much smaller than larger, arena-sized organizations. Indeed these do help to commit the congregation to a more intimate community, with an inviting sense of ease that is helpful in religious ceremonies. At the same time, there are also chairs that are similarly comfortable but do not have armed and are better at serving multiple purposes, which is often ideal for churches since they do not necessarily always have the money to pay for more luxurious models.

There are also many types of stacking chairs that are made from a combination of plastic and metal, as opposed to the wood and cloth that are common to religious organizations. Plastic chairs are easily molded into more facilitating shapes both in the seat and in the back and the aluminum legs allow for more flexibility and bounce. This offers more comfort because there is more give in the seat, so that you can find your comfort regardless of body size and type. Some chairs are even made to be high-density, offering superior support.
