subject: New Affiliate Network [print this page] What is the difference between a new affiliate network and a big, well established one. Well personally I have heard some horror stories related to well established affiliate networks. In fact, most of this is a personal experience.
Affiliate networks want to make money, just like every business of course. However, established affiliate networks more often then not dont really care about each and every affiliate. That is fact. Have you ever had a bad experience with an AM? Well I think everyone has. But why? Well because they have to many affiliates to deal with on a daily basis. You call, leave an email, send a letter, whatever the case and they probably dont get back to you.
Personally I think an AM makes or breaks an affiliate network. Actually, they are the affiliate network. Who cares if affiliates rant and rave about a network having great campaigns if it ends up having a terrible AM its not really worth it. At least to me anyway.
So whats so great about a new affiliate network? Well the ones I've worked with have good AM's who care about each and every affiliate thats the bottom line. They take time out of their day to call their affiliates to see how everything is going. Personally I'll take a new, quality affiliate network over some established network anyday.
I tried out Underground Elephant and they offered a great affiliate network. They are on the newer side, however their affiliate network has great campaigns with good commission rates.
