subject: Who Wants To Lose Weight With Exercise? [print this page]

This may not be something you want to hear, but dieting alone will not be enough to lose weight. You must exercise to burn calories. A few centuries ago, people did lots of hard manual labor everyday, which gave their bodies all the necessary exercise. However, due to the different lifestyles and modern technology, most of us do not participate in any exhausting work. Most of us sit in front of computers all day long or have some other sedentary job.

This is why exercise has become so significant to the goal of weight loss. People normally do not begin to gain weight until they are past their 20's, but once they are around the mid-20's, then weight gain is prominent all over the body, particularly the mid-section.

There is something that you must acknowledge if you truly desire to lose a substantial amount of that: you must be willing to commit to exercising your body in order for the weight loss will be effective. Managing your diet alone is not going to produce any significant weight loss unless you combine it with a steady exercise routine. You must be committed and willing to carry this out consistently; the best way to manage this is in a work-out routine.

When we think about the life in the country, there is always something rosy about it. What is it about the country that you can't find in the city? 3 important things: they get to eat good food, they have plenty of physical labor, and they get enough sleep, although they do lack all that the city life has to offer.

However, the city life comes with lots of issues as well. People in the cities are generally less healthy than the people in the country, due to pollution, but more importantly, people in the city simply are involved in enough exercise to be healthy.

Now, when I talk about healthy bodies please don't have the misconception that I am talking about the perfect, muscular, toned body. It's merely people who are fit, in generally healthy condition. Fitness and exercise go together, and you cannot get fitness without exercise. In order to stay fit, you must exercise and in order to exercise, you need to be fit.

However, simply because you are not fit does not mean you should not exercise. Similarly, just because you do not have any visible excess fat on your body right now, it does not mean that you don't need to exercise. Exercise is the best way to keep obesity, cardio vascular disorders, hypertension and all those lifestyle-related disorders under control.
