subject: Is Xocai (MXI Corp) A Scam? – 5 Questions To Ask Your Sponsor Before Joining Xocai [print this page] Hey everyone, what's good in your life today? I wanted to take a few minutes and give an unbiased review on a relatively new company to the MLM industry and to give the people who may be examining this home-based business some questions to ask their sponsor which may prove helpful in deciding if it's a good choice for you.
The company I'm reviewing today is Xocai (MXI Corp) which was founded in 2004 and markets a product line of "healthy chocolate". Good stuff, right?
After spending some time today looking over their compensation plan and line of products, I came up with 5 questions to ask your sponsor which I hope will help you overcome the question that every new person has when reviewing a prospective home-based business, "Is Xocai a scam?".
1. "Is my personal autoship reasonable for personal use or will I have to re-sell it to friends and family?" When you join Xocai, you're required to purchase 100pv worth of the products (about $110) every 8 weeks, and that requirement goes up in amount and frequency as you advance in rank, so you'll need to find out what you're supposed to do with it. Is it a reasonable amount for you to consume every month to enjoy the health benefits, or will you have to go out and actively sell it to stop it from piling up in your garage?
2. "What exactly do I have to do to earn money?" Alright, you most likely didn't need my help with that question, but it's my article so I'll write whatever I want! :D Ideally, the answer you're looking for here is you need to sell/use Xocai products and teach others how to do the same (aka recruit other reps).
Here's one thing to keep in mind when going over the compensation plan with your sponsor: you shouldn't earn a commission for sole act of sponsoring people into Xocai (MXI Corp) unless there is an actual product order included according to FTC regulations. As far as I can tell Xocai is good here, but keep that in mind as you're discussing this with your sponsor.
3. "What do I have to do in order to make the income I need?" If you're looking at joining Xocai, I assume you've put some thought into what kind of money you have to make in order for it to be worth the effort to build a business. With that said, it's very important to find out what exactly you need to do on a weekly basis to get to where you need to be income-wise.
This was really my only concern when I took a look at the Xocai compensation plan, because with a $40 buy-in and a 100pv autoship requirement every 8 weeks (vs. monthly for the majority of other companies) for new distributors, I'd imagine it would take A LOT of new people coming into your business on a monthly basis in order to quickly get to an income that makes it worth your while. You don't want to realize after the fact that you need to personally sponsor 25 people every month to make any money, amirite?
I'm not saying that's the case with Xocai (MXI Corp), but it's something I recommend talking about with your sponsor.
4. "Can you tell me about the Xocai training program?" What you're looking for here is if you're going to be taught to build a business that fits with your preferences and/or strengths. To clarify what I mean with my own story, I prefer to use social media and the internet to build my business because I don't want to chase after my little sister or my best friend and try convince them to start a home business. So if I'm taught to "make a list of my top 100 friends to show the business to", that wouldn't be a good fit with how I would want to build a business. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that method, it just doesn't mesh with what I want to do and my strengths.
Does that make sense?
If you carry a lot of influence over your family and friends, I know for a fact that can be a great way to build a huge business quickly. This is how my upline got his start over 14 years ago and it has lead to a comfortable six figure income for him and his family.
5. "What can you tell me about the team that I'd be joining?" This is so important but almost always skipped by people who are looking at Xocai for the first time. You want to be apart of a team with strong leadership in place. Even if your sponsor is new to Xocai themselves, it's not a big deal if you have a leadership team that is actively building a successful business since there will always be someone to take you by the hand to show you exactly what you need to do.
Thankfully, there are many great leaders in Xocai (MXI Corp) that are happy to show you how to succeed.
