subject: Easy Tips To Get A Six Pack - Read Now [print this page]

Getting a six pack really isnt that hard as many people make it out to be. To be honest, a lot of people can get their six pack by just following a simple diet and exercise program in the beginning. But many fall off the wagon at some point in their diet and never get back on track. Or the diet they are on produces to slow of results and the same can be said with their exercise program.

Diet: Your diet should mostly be made up of protein and healthy fats with very little carbs. The only carbs I would recommend are fruit and veggies. Reason being is because many carb sources such as breads, pasta, rice, etc are filled with processed junk. They also spike up your insulin levels and people tend to over consume these meals. A cup of pasta is about 50 grams of carbs, which visually is not much. Also, be sure to eat enough protein. Protein has been shown to keep you feeling full for a longer period of time as compared to carbs and fats. It is also very thermogenic which means that the body has to increase its metabolism to break down the protein you ingested. Its about 30% more thermogenic than carbs or fats.

Exercise: The myth that you need to do crunches to get a six pack is bogus. Doing crunches everyday will not make your abs pop out, maybe a disc in your back, but thats about it. You need to get rid of the fat, thats why you need a perfect diet. For the exercise part, you need to burn a lot of calories. Exercise is like the icing on the cake. Instead of jogging, perform interval training on the one of the pieces of equipment, by doing so, you will burn more calories and keep your metabolism revved up for a longer period of time. You also need to be doing resistance exercise to build muscle mass so that when you lose the body fat, your new muscle is popping through your skin, giving you that toned and defined look.

In conclusion, getting a six pack can be hard work. But if you have all the tools in place and you focus on each day instead of the big picture, by the time you know it, you will have achieved your goal.
