Border collie obedience includes cleaning the dog with care. You need to brush up the water resistant coat of the dog each day instead of bathing the dog often. Bathing can be harmful as it may cause the strips of the coat to lose its protective oils. So brushing will be good as it will keep the coat healthy and clean. To keep your your dog healthy, you need to have emotional bounding with him.

As compared to other dogs, Border collie obedience training is not very difficult. He can be trained easily as search and rescue dogs due to his higher intelligence level. They have stable temperament and aren't quite shy with the people. They are faithful and very friendly with the humans. They respond quickly and eagerly to the commands of their masters and complete the given task willingly.

You need to be positive and need to praise him in the time of training because study says that a positive training approach with rewards have been more successful than any other approaches. When a reward is given to him for the fulfillment of the command or the task correctly, then it motivates him to react quickly when such commands are given again. A positive training with rewards is remembered by the dog for the lifetime as it makes positive influence in the mind of the dog. So, praise and get the best results from your dog.
