Honestly, it's rarely the product or service you wish to provide. If you have a passion or a solid concept of what you are involving yourself in, it's a good bet you'll feel secure in your choice (s)
If it has a market that you perceive to be viable and other folks don't look at you as if you've grown a 3rd eye while explain what you intend to do (immediate family doesn't count, I'll explain in another missive) , more than likely other folks will consider the product or service useable and a portion of them will buy in.
The real problem is how do you get what you perceive as a good thing to other who will agree and join in. Just because you know it's good doesn't mean everyone else will, having said that, you need to give others a reason that they'll need the same product or service and they'll want to share the same notion with their future prospects
Future prospects now there's a term. It's what anyone and everyone in business all have in common. How do you turn futures into immediate believers and, thus, into customers, downlines, affiliates. any synonym will do. Again it's not just the product
Whichever you feel is right for you, based on your due diligence (a must), is more than likely right. The provider of the product or service can direct you to many avenues to market whatever you're "invested in". Ah!! "invested in" another phrase that is indigenous to working for yourself or anyone for that matter. No matter who you work for there's an investment, of dollars (even if you have a J O B) and TIME. This is the biggest, most dramatic of all investments.
You've taken the time to ponder your life to date, taken time to discuss this with those who might rely on your decision, taken time to look at all the opportunities open to you, taken time to try and figure out how you'll succeed and hopefully taken time to assess the backup plan as your venture doesn't take off in 48 hours or a week.
That's the thing everyone should consider. Even if it can turn lead to gold, nothing takes off instantly, and with the skepticism that abounds today it's a fact of the work from home affiliate marketplace it's imperative you have a thick skin about what your expectations are as others perceive them.
