Let's consider this story. A couple in Belgium had some little conflict. They quarreled for hours before the husband went our angrily. He was not found after about 12 hours, which was very unusual of him. Normally when he 'spanks out' after some arguments, he gets home on or before 12 hours after the quarrel. Its now a day and He is not found, two days, three days, one week. Then later there was an announcement of the identification of a dead body found at the outskirt of Vienna, on the road Munich, Germany. She went to the hospital and identified the body to be her husband's.
6 years after this incidence, she was still in total regret and considered herself a murderer, thinking it was the quarrel which led to his death. She believed she murdered him and lived in regret. Then one sunny day during the summer, a government official came to her house to tell her about her husband's death, claiming it was not an accident, but a timed murder by his cousin, who was later reprimanded as he tried to escape. This was sad and she was flabbergasted by the news, nevertheless, the good news here is, she did not kill him. After all, even if he wasn't murdered that day, he could still be in another day. And with this truth, the burden was lifted away from her; she was relieved and could easily forgive herself of everything. Just a piece of information which is a 'Truth package' changed someone's psychology, feelings, protracted regrets and self-torture; how much more of the divine gospel truth itself?
So many Christians are in chains, they are bound and are therefore not free, and they are in slavery because they lack the knowledge about freedom. They are in prisons spiritually, financially and otherwise simply because they lack the knowledge of the truth. What is this Truth? We need to know the importance of this truth- The truth we need to know is the word of God, John 17:17 "sanctify them through the truth: thy word is truth". God's word is truth and God's word is God. "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free": It means and you shall know God and God shall make you free. It is because many lack the knowledge of the word; they are still bound and encapsulated in one way or the other. "Those that know their God shall be strong and do exploits" Daniel 11:32. You cannot break the chains of failure, Sickness, poverty or limitations without the knowledge of God's word, which is the truth. Freedom is in the word of the Lord, all that you need to be free is wrapped up in the word of the Lord. Grab the word of the lord and hold unto it and you will be made free. If you don't know God, then you lack the word, you lack the truth and you will remain bound. You cannot do exploits because you are not free. Your freedom is important, whatever holds you bound; God's word can set you free, only believe it and will work for you.
