Figuring out why someone does not like you especially when you've done nothing wrong, I come to find out it's a waste of time. No matter how sweet you are, no matter how considerate you maybe if they don't like you, they don't like you.
I used to go out of my way to please other people (in-laws) and all I would get is disrespect, it has even came to a time that it was coming in between my relationship. Sometimes a soft heart will get you a broken one and no matter how you feel no one cares. It sucks, but it took me a long time to realize that everyone does not think like I think. You see I believe in showing the utmost respect, I greet when in the company of others, I show hospitality and I expect the same in return. I feel like people should treat me the same as I treat them, but some have serious issues.
I've wasted a lot of energy focusing on trying to get others to like me; just because you are a kind person doesn't mean everyone has to like you. And the thing about being a nice person is that people tend to take advantage of you and that really makes me mad! God created me the way I am and others should respect that not walk all over it, you know.
I'm going to be me and I'm not going to let anyone change who I am all because they have some type of conflict with me. Society can be so cruel, it can turn you into to a real B****, nevertheless you have to overlook them and just be you. The only time someone wants to be nice to you is if you won the lottery and that's because they think they are entitled to what you have won.
I'm going to be me because that's how it's supposed to be, you can change on the outside, but never change on the inside unless it's for the better. Others who think they are better than you are usually still searching for themselves or see something in you they want. I nonchalantly go on with my life, because I have a life to live and it is not living for them. I no longer accommodate to those who are so belligerent towards me and though I've done nothing wrong I'm going to still be me and never let people's actions force me to lose myself.
