subject: Our God has Got The Ultimate Power – Part 2 [print this page] The Almighty God made the earth by His power and founded the world by His wisdom. Because you belong to God, He has put His power inside of you. The bible tells us in Luke 9-1-2, "When Jesus had called the Twelve together, He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick."
Jesus sent His twelve apostles out, with power, to tell everyone about the coming of the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. The apostles had no power of their own, to carry out all the instructions from the Lord. So Jesus endued them with His power and authority. He also appointed seventy-two disciples and sent them out two by two, ahead of Him.
He gave them His power and said, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." Luke 10:19. When you have the power of God in you, you take authority over anything that wants to disturb your life and it will back off, in the name of Jesus.
After His resurrection from the dead, Jesus instructed His disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they had been clothed with power from on high. This power from the Almighty, was given to them on the day of Pentecost when they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. They all began to speak in other tongues as the Holy Spirit enabled them. That same Holy Spirit works in us today and gives us the same power as He did on the day of Pentecost.
Child of God, you have got the same power in you and Satan has no power over you. Jesus came to destroy the power of Satan so that you can operate under the power of God. I encourage you to focus on the ultimate power of God and not on Satan. We are not unaware of Satan's devices, but Jesus has given you power to trample over Satan; he is under your feet.
Let God be your main focal point at all times, and not Satan as he is a liar and father of all liars. Always remember that Jehovah has got the ultimate power and He will come to your aid at all times. God has got the final say in your life; glorify Him always and do not glorify Satan in anything. Our Heavenly Father has got the power to bring change in your life and He can make anything happen for you, in accordance with His Word.
When the power of God is at work in your life, you will notice the difference. He has got the power to shatter old habits and uproot resentment from your life. Keep looking unto HIM and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy His peace always.
