Why do men cheat?
During the primitive time, to survive is one of the basic aspirations of a human being. One way they could achieve this was to increase the human race. Men would have multiple partners in the effort to spread and increase their number for survival.
Some believe it's one of the most basic links in the DNA of man. It's the need, still today, to ensure survival of the species. It's not a conscious need. Even men who are adamant that they do not want children still have the compulsion to copulate.
What can sex do?
This answers back during the primitive time when there is a need to increase human race. Men would go from one partner to another in the hopes to increase the human kind. This was not all about the feelings, love or lust. This was about the obligation for survival that has a very useful purpose.
It wasn't about love or even lust it was a physical compulsion hard wired into the DNA that served a very useful purpose (too good if you carefully consider the nearly 7 billion people roaming the face of the planet today). Some could argue that it has outlived its usefulness and yet it's still there.
Today, men are using this as an excuse. Even with the information they learned about the past and as a common conviction that a married man or woman should only have one partner.
This is a justification that has outlived its purpose. Men today use a lot of excuses to be unfaithful. And here are some of their reasons:
If I cheat no one will find out about it.
Sometimes opportunity comes that they don't know how to refuse it.
My wife doesn't understand me.
My wife is not desirable.
There's too much pressure at home.
My wife keeps on nagging me when I'm home.
I'm bored with my marriage
They find it exciting to have sex without commitment.
Not one of these reasons has anything to do with the other woman being younger, prettier, sexier, smarter, more successful, or any other reason that women often believe their men cheat.
