Don't walk around the house in bare feetDon't walk around the house in bare feet. Easy way to eliminate odors, is to not walk around in bare feet. It's good to give the feet air, to avoid sweating. You can sit around on the couch, or whatever in your bare feet. Walking around the house without shoes on, can cause bacteria to your feet. Which will cause odors. Get some slippers, and wash them once a week.

Think about how often you keep your feet inside shoes: do you wear them all the time? If you're always on the go, doing strenuous exercises or always traveling, chances are you wear footwear everyday. That means more sweat, more bacteria and a worse odor. To avoid this, take off your shoes when you don't need them. If you're just relaxing at home, go barefoot, and let your foot breathe. You should also opt for open footwear, like sandals or slippers. The more exposed your feet are, the less sweaty they become, meaning you get to stay away from odor problems.

Clean your shoes. A lot of moisture and bacteria build up in the shoes will still cause odors. So always wear clean socks, but clean your shoes. After 4-6 months, throw the pair of shoes out as well. Clean the inside of the shoes with baking soda, and warm water. Let it dry. Baking soda removes stains, but it also eliminates odors and kills bacteria. Cleaning shoes is important to eliminate odors and prevent them on your feet.

Let your shoes dry out completely so that bacteria don't set up camp in there. It takes at least 24 hours for a shoe to dry out completely[5] (that may seem like a long time, but remember that you can put down four cups of sweat in one day, and that isn't going to evaporate quickly). Take out the insoles to help the drying process along. Otherwise, wearing the same pair day after day is a recipe for stinkfoot. Crumpled newspaper inside wet shoes will dry them overnight
