subject: Head Outside To Play And Not Worry About Bad News [print this page]

It seems like every summer, airplane crashes are all over the news. An Airblue passenger jet went down in Pakistan due to a rainstorm with reports of 152 passengers and crew dead.

There was also a crash recently of a private plane in Oshkosh, WI that was piloted by Jack Roush, one of the owner's of NASCAR's Roush Fenway Racing that fields the largest number of racing crews in NASCAR. Luckily, both Roush and his passenger survived. This isn't the initial time that Roush has been involved in a plane accident. He lived through a previous crash in 2002 where he was seriously injured and nearly drowned when his plane crashed into a pond in Alabama.

It usually seems somewhat of a miracle when anyone survives a plane crash and especially when there are many survivors. Crash stories often wind up being turned into a made for television movie of the week. Although summer time news broadcasts seem to become completely laden with bad news about plane crashes, they truly are a rare event.

Harm to garage doors isn't so rare. Even the greatest built garage doors can suffer harm. When a homeowner's teenager drives the vehicle into the garage door, they can call the local garage door service that can drive over and fix the garage door and they're out only a small sum. Calling in a high quality garage door service with a great reputation takes the hassle out of the situation, and truly little harm is done, providing nobody was injured. The event is unlikely to make it onto the nightly news.

A garage door that's damaged by a vehicle (or any object) could be replaced fairly effortlessly. A vehicle that may harm the garage door sufficiently for the garage door service to need to arrive may lose a piece or two of molded plastic or bumper or have to replace a headlight or taillight. Even the damages to the vehicle are often effortlessly and inexpensively fixed.

Although summer time news broadcasts may be rife with sad events, it's still summer time and a time to relax. Switch off the television, invite some neighbors over, and appreciate the great things in life. Open up the garage door and pull out some lawn chairs. Set up the sprinkler within the driveway for the neighborhood children to cool off. Summer time is soon ending and the news is going to be full of stories about happy children going back to school.
