Inc. magazine compiled the list, ranking companies according to percentage revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, businesses had to be based in the U.S., privately held, for profit and independent. (No subsidiaries were included in the list.)
Everon, which offers outsourced IT management and Internet marketing services to small and midsize businesses, appeared on the list in 2007, 2008 and 2009, bucking the global economic recession that began in late 2007.
