subject: The Future Of Electricity Is Amazing [print this page]

When the future of electricity is discussed, quite a number of thoughts come into mind. Lets look at a few of such ideas.

Welcome, wireless electricity!

Wireless electricity is a dream come true--if it should become a reality. Doubtful? Not for the team in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that made experiments confirming the possibility of such a technology. You will definitely be happy with the results of the study from MIT, and enjoying this technology may just be in the near future.

Impossibility of this new technology no longer has basis. The experiment from MIT will prove your doubts wrong. Surely, you will find electrical appliances will be charged by wireless means.

Consumers will have complete control!

Many industry experts believe that the future will be more consumer-oriented. How much electricity you need and how it will be supplied to your place will all be dependent on your decision. Mandatory amounts will be a thing of the past. When you go out for a long time, and you shut off the electricity in your house, the said mandatory amount will no longer be in effect.

Consumers will benefit from the control options available in the future. The future may be near, or it may be five, ten, twenty or fifty years from now--but what is important is that the future looks very bright for a truly consumer-oriented energy industry. The control will truly be in the hands of the consumers.

Electrical energy will be clean!

Carbon dioxide will be emitted in the air, with the remains of electricity production. Not environment-friendly at all, unlike the future of electricity production wherein it is expected to be clean and green.

Given the concern for the environment, the electricity in future will make use of renewable sources of energy, leading to a clean environment. Currently, electricity is produced mostly by consuming fuels that are on the verge of being extinct.

All things will be electric!

Electric cars and shavers make it possible for other things to run based on electricity. The limits would only be one's imagination. Who knows that the future will bring electric shoes, toothbrushes, combs, glasses and clothes?

Yes, it is kind of futuristic--but visit the shops at Akihabara in Japan, and you may see the possibilities of all these.

No more outages in the future!

With the trend of things becoming electric, there will be a need of continuous and sufficient supply of power. This can be possible with the use of alternative power supply options. In the future, power outages will no longer be a problem. And consumers will benefit from this set-up.
