Well, it's actually not impossible - in fact, it's not even that difficult.
So, how to get traffic to your website for free?
The only thing you need to do is invest a little bit of time in honing your skills with keyword research. For those who don't know, a keyword is a 'target' word or expression used by a prospect when they are searching for something.
The objective of all marketers is to be in the place that your customers are searching so as to attract them to your product/opportunity - simple, right?
Well, it can be, but most people make it incredibly hard!
The first step is to establish exactly who you are targeting your product/business opportunity at! Are they old, young, rich, poor, stressed, in debt etc.
Next, what do they want? Now, this is where you come in - put your thinking cap on!
When you joined your business opportunity, bought your company's product etc, what were you looking for - if you can remember, what exact word or phrase did you search under?
Chances are, the people that are going to have the highest probability of 'buying in' to your business or getting your product are going to be similar to you - because you did!
So, once you have a clear idea of your 'target market', it's time to do some research.
For this, I use Google's free AdWords tool. In it you can search under any word or phrase and it will tell you the number of clicks that 'term' has received both locally and globally - and it'll even give you similar keywords to compare with.
Once you have found a few that you like, you should put them in to Google and see exactly how many page responses there are.
IMPORTANT NOTE - if you put the keyword in quotation marks, it'll search for the exact phrase, without will give results with the phrase broken up or partially found also - check both!
A word to the wise, try to find keywords with pages between about 100,000 and 500,000. Any more than that and you might find it difficult to appear in the first few pages of search results.
Once you have your keywords, put them in to whatever content you are producing (videos, articles, press releases etc), especially in the tags, titles and first paragraphs/descriptions to help get ranked quickly (3-4 times is ideal!)
