AMD lobbied Congress, the Department of Defense, branches of the military and other agencies about general federal funding policies, among other issues. AMD also lobbied on antitrust issues in the semiconductor industry.
AMD is the worlds No. 2 maker of computer microprocessors after Intel Corp.
AMD sued Intel over alleged antitrust violations and complained to regulators around the world about Intels alleged offenses before calling a truce last year. Intel agreed to pay AMD $1.25 billion and the companies struck a new cross-licensing deal.
