For example, try to find out whether you're good in any of these areas: music, sports, art, cooking, etc. Remember that if you know what you're good at, you'll surely feel proud of yourself, which, of course, can really build up confidence.

It is also best that you keep in mind one of the most vital confidence building techniques: don't try to stop just because you excel in one area. Why? Just think: if you have more than one talent, then, you will definitely, without doubt, increase self esteem.

Technique B: Acknowledge your good points and treat yourself from time to time.

Another technique to boost self confidence is for you to celebrate yourself. This means that you should learn to acknowledge your skills and talents, be proud of your self, and, make time to treat yourself when you've succeeded, when you feel happy, and so on. You shouldn't only rely on other people celebrating your success, your luck, your happiness, etc. You, yourself, can also do that so you can build up confidence.

For instance, if you got the raise you've been waiting for, or if you've finally completed a challenging project at work, go and celebrate alone e.g. have coffee at Starbucks, watch a movie, eat in your favourite restaurant, and the likes. Included in confidence building techniques is also for you to buy gifts for yourself at times e.g. a novel if you're a bookworm, a new DVD movie if you're a movie buff, a new top if you're a shopaholic, etc.

Doing this could increase self esteem because you're actually showing and telling yourself that 'you are important', and that 'you deserve it'.

These are just two of the various strategies that boost self confidence in people. Anyone can build up confidence if he or she really wants to, and if he or she believes that it truly is possible to improve esteem.
