subject: Three Items You Need During A Camping Getaway [print this page]

When you're going out on a camping trip, there are a few items that should always be brought along by everyone who is going on the trip with you. These are essentials that you must not go without whenever you go camping. Aside from the more obvious things like food, water, and whatever else you've got planned on bringing, there are a few people who might forget an item or two amidst all the fun and exciting things you've got planned ahead over the weekend.

Don't leave your tent without some insect repellent on.

Sleep tight, and don't let the bed bugs bite; or in this case, all the other creepy crawlies out there that the wilderness brings. There are actually a whole lot of items that you should always remember to bring during camping. One of these things should be an insect repellent. That's because when you're out on the woods, there are a whole lot of bugs that like to bite and make you itch if they get to reach you. When you have insect repellent, you can actually avoid all the itch and rashes that insect bites bring. You don't need to have a whole lot of reasons for you to realize that you need to bring with you some insect repellent. When you're in the outdoors, there are a whole lot of insects that likes to bite and make you itch. Bites from these insects can be really painful and annoying because they are going to itch real soon.

A sleeping bag

If you aren't a caveman, you might find sleeping on the ground or a rock to be something that isn't so relaxing and enjoyable. Having a sleeping bag along with your camping trip is definitely a necessity that you must absolutely have at all times so you can sleep, relax and recharge. Another good thing about bringing along some sleeping bags with you is that some of these come built in with a thick blanket already. With that thing coming in handy, getting through those cold nights wouldn't be so hard to come by anymore. Another added bonus is the comfort of being able to sleep on a soft surface. It doesn't compare to your big, comfortable, and soft bed at home, but it surely beats soil and a slab of rock any time, anywhere, on any given day.

Your mobile phone

It may not seem like you would be a rough neck if you brought along with you your mobile phone on a camping trip. Having a mobile phone actually means that you have a way to contact the outside world if there is a need for you to. In the event that something happens, you can always call for help. Take for example one of your friends had an accident and none of you know first aid. Would you just leave it to chance or would you bring with you a mobile phone so you can call for help and get him some immediate medical attention? If any of your friends need medical attention, a mobile phone is your sure shot to getting some help; just make sure that you have a reception where you're going.
