Established in 1981, the National Gallery of Victoria is the largest and one of the oldest surviving public art galleries in Melbourne, Australia. One spectacular art piece among the many that stand out at the National Gallery of Victoria is; The Pioneer by Frederick McCubbin in 1904. This masterpiece known as a triptych tells a story of a family making ends meet in an Australian Bush.

"The Rest on the Flight into Egypt with Saint Catherine and Angels" is another new addition to the gallery by renowned artist Paris Bordone. This particular creation sits as the richest purchased piece in the National Gallery.
