subject: 4 Ways To Make Your Marriage Better After Cheating [print this page]

Cheating takes a hard toll on a marriageCheating takes a hard toll on a marriage. That doesn't mean that you can't make your marriage better after cheating has torn it apart. In fact, it is important to make every effort to rebuild your marriage even stronger than it was before cheating became a problem.

How do you start your relationship?

That's where I come into the picture. These four things are things you can do that will help you have a marriage that is better than ever before. Try them all today and see how well they work for your marriage.

1)Focus yourself on your marriage. Though this is not the only responsibility that you have to fulfill, you need to set full attention to the relationship. Yes, your everyday lives may be busy, talking about office work, PTA meetings and groceries, but time is really important for a marriage to work. Without the harmonious relationship, there will be no homemaking for anyone.

2)Discuss your plans together. How many times have you been hurrying up to get somewhere in your marriage only to discover that you're going different places? I'm not talking about scheduling conflicts you can mark on the calendar but plans you have for each other and your marriage. You can't set off on a trip around the world without discussing the itinerary and people march off towards "happily ever after" without a clue about where that is. Talk about it. With each other!

3)Be partners not strangers living in the same house. You and your spouse have pledge to love and honor one another but there needs to be a little more to it than that. You are partners in life. You hope to have a long life together. Make sure that you're going through it all together and not struggling through life alone and hoping to meet up at the finish line.

4)Don't bring back the past. It is natural for husbands and wives to argue. But don't frequently dig up the past; it will only worsen the argument. Resolve any disputes before going to bed to avoid further escalations. Bringing back old mistakes every time you fight also brings back frustrations and sadness even to the aggravated person.
