Engineering entrance examination is one necessary and the most important milestone to be achieved if one desires to opt for engineering as a prospective career. Not only clearing but securing good position in the various engineering entrance examination is also mandatory. The All India Engineering Entrance Examination commonly known as the AIEEE and the Joint Entrance Examination known as the JEE are two of the most competitive exams in engineering.

The students who want to attempt the engineering entrance examination can receive the application forms either by post or they can also download them from the official websites of the respective institute. But one should be very attentive while filling up the form as there is no scope for correction in the form.

The pattern of the engineering entrance examination for the various institutes is generally the same. The test comprises of two papers. Out of these two papers, the first paper is divided into three major sections. These sections contain questions from the subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics. This paper comprises of objective type questions. Paper two of the test generally contains questions which judge the reasoning power, quantitative analysis potential, aptitude and drawing skills of the candidate.

The eligibility criteria for the entrance test vary from university to university and from institute to institute. But generally it is required that the candidate should be a student who has cleared the intermediate level examination with more than 55% marks and with subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics.

To clear the engineering entrance examination one should start at an early stage and keep oneself focused on the target. Hard work is the key to success in the engineering entrance examination but one should not ignore the other important factors like confidence, speed and presence of mind.
