Reapers aren't heavily armored, but they make up for this with speed. Because of their speed it's possible to kite your opponents early units. As mentioned previously, because of their light armor they're virtually useless in battle however, you can use reapers to attack your opponents expansion points. When your opponent sends his forces to investigate, you can take your main forces and attack his base. This tactic is one of the more devious terran strategies for starcraft 2, but it works!
Another tactic you can use for the reapers is to wait until you engage your opponent in battle and then send your reapers to attack his base and supply line. Your opponent will be so focused on the battle that your reapers will have the opportunity to decimate your opponents economy.
